We offer thousands of colors and several premier brands including Ace’s award winning Clark+Kensington Paint + Primer in One, Valspar (sold only at 5th St. location), and Benjamin Moore (sold at Logan, Old Town Alexandria, Waverly, Tenleytown, Federal Hill, Canton, Takoma Park, and Woodley Park locations). We can custom match any color from any paint brand, even the ones we don’t sell. We also offer exterior paints, stains, and sundries suitable for every paint project.
Tools
Whether you’re drilling, sawing or sanding, we have the power tools you need. Trusted, American made brands like Craftman, DeWalt, Irwin, and Milwaukee are available in stores and through our special-order program. Don’t want to buy a new tool? Ask us about our rental program. (See right).
Electrical
We carry door bells, extension cords, light bulbs, dimmers, wire and many more electrical products in all of our stores. Complete your DIY projects with stylish switch plate covers, wire mold and even new lamps.
Plumbing
Remodeling your bathroom or kitchen? We have access to thousands of products from high end brands including Kohler, Toto, American Standard and many more. Our shelves are stocked with several eco-friendly options that can help you save energy and money, including water saving shower heads and Fluidmaster easy-installation Dual Flush Conversion Kit. Did you know? Most plumbing issues in your home can be fixed without a professional, most notably clogged drains and running toilets. When in doubt, ask an associate for advice- we also have lots of project ideas, so ask us how to make your project easier.
Hardware
We stock thousands of nuts, bolts, screws, picture hangers and closet rods, as well as cabinet knobs, door knobs and locks. Is your DIY furniture assembly kit missing a few screws? We can help find you a replacement!
Automotive
You’ll find everything you need to take care of your vehicle from lubricants to car wax. Specialty brands include WD 40 and Minwax.
Housewares
Not only can big box stores be hard to get to in the city, they can make it difficult to grab and go. Whether you’re reorganizing your closet or cooking for your friends, run into one of our stores for spatulas, blenders, storage boxes, hangers, canning supplies, and more. Our in-store buyer scouts out fun new products every week to add creativity to our hardware landscape.
Lawn and Garden
Small flower pots, potting soils and fertilizers for year-round use, and hundreds of other items you need to tend your plants and lawn. Our stores with outdoor garden centers (our Logan, Takoma Park, and Waverly locations) are stocked all season to bring beautiful blooms to our neighborhoods, while all our stores offer a varied selection of perennials, annuals, edibles, houseplants, seeds, and bulbs.
